Diddley Bow skateboard and ceramic tile Mixmedia- 2023
Blending painting, sculpture and music, this work was created in collaboration with 720 degrés and Syro Instruments.
The background lines are created using laminated skateboard strips. The ceramic tile is boldly worked. It mixes techniques to create a play of light, texture and relief that adds a whole new dimension to the work. Bold and contemporary, this unique piece measures 62 cm by 5 cm wide. It is 4 cm thick. Its edges are elegantly beveled to enhance the volume of the piece. A notch is sculpted into the back for optimum grip. A blend of artisanal and artistic techniques, this piece is entirely handmade in our workshop.
